Pregnancy Week 8

What to expect on pregnancy week 8

Fetal Development on Week 8
Fetus at Week 8Now your baby is the size of a pinto bean! Teeth are developing under the gums and the tip of the nose is starting to appear. The eyelids and ears are forming better. An ultrasound can be done and will show the aortic and pulmonary valves of the heart as it beats. Elbows are now present and everything is growing longer such as the torso, arms, and legs.
Maternal Changes on Week 8
You may be able to tell that you are pregnant from your tummy because your uterus is now about the size of a orange. This period in the pregnancy may give you slight acne and oily skin because your hormone levels have been ramping up. Do not worry as this is normal and will subside as your hormones level out further in your pregnancy.
