Pregnancy Week 30

What to expect on pregnancy week 30

Fetal Development on Week 30
Fetus at Week 30The baby is capable of creating red blood cells in its bone marrow. As the weight of the fetus reaches three pounds, toenails are growing and the lanugo hair that was once covering the baby is now shedding into the amniotic fluid where it will eventually be swallowed by the baby and ingested where it is later expelled in the meconium bowel movement.
Maternal Changes on Week 30
With the size of your uterus it may be difficult to sleep at this stage forward, and heartburn may be quite bad. Try sleeping and lying on your side (left side is best because of the position of your heart) and in a reclined position.
